THE TV COVERAGE OF THE SCOTTISH GAME IS SHITE. THAT'S BECAUSE MAINLY THE SCOTTISH GAME IS SHITE AND RUN BY CLUELESS WOMBLES.  

BOO!

Utter dreadful, but the BBC had a narrative that they didn't move from no matter what they were watching. The players were rubbish. 

 

NIKE AIR WOKE

NIKE those nasty Americans changed the St George Cross. No one tell those who took offence at this that St George was Turkish, never fought a dragon and died in a Turk in Palestine. 

 

EARTH HOUR

 

Written after the Scotland lost four nil to The Netherlands and on the same weekend The Germans beat France two nil in Paris. We have been told the Germans are rubbish. This is clearly not the case. 

FOOTBALL IS POETRY

 

When the gaffer from TONIC STA PRESS emailed me asking if I wanted to contributed to the second edition of FOOTBALL IS POETRY, I couldn't say no. 

I searched the hard-drives of my mainly plagiarized work and found some that really cemented my credentials as an UBER LEFT WING SOCCER ULTRA who hates Sky Sports and slave states and oil money in football. 

They are called Auf Weidersehen Pet and Stand. 

Now, on review, I reckon the Newcastle one was only written so I could mention Jimmy Nail and I would definitely change the title of the second one, cause it is a very lazy title. I would probably call it now: "THE BALLAD OF A MIDDLE AGED GRUMPY MAN WHO HAS IPTV AND DOESN'T GET TO AS MANY FOOTBALL GAMES AS HE WANTS BECAUSE OF KIDS."

That scans far better. 

The edition continues some great poetry from real poets like Imogen Cooper, Evrah Rose, Hollie McNish and strong Scottish voice with Donna Matthew, Julie McNeill and my good pals Stephen Watt and Victoria McNulty. 

If you have spare tenner get on this cause it's really good.
